The role of statistics in resource management and estimation, and in environmental management is discussed in this text. Over the last 15 years worldwide interest in these issues has grown and the need to monitor and forecast is apparent. Statistical techniques can be used to this end. In this collection, a substantial amount of new theory is advanced and applied to case studies, some existing techniques are discussed and reviewed.
