An allegorical puzzle addresses the representation of the Mexican in the advertisement and the poster of American cinema between 1907 and 1920-the so-called "era of progress." Thanks to a deep and rigorous work the book shows how film emerges as a container for all the social, economic, scientific and cultural of the time, and how a conception of mexicanidad assembly is constructed with several important myths.
