This is a textbook for a Pre-algebra course that is normally taught in the ninth grade for students who are not sufficiently prepared to be enrolled in the standard Algebra 1 course. The content consists of a comprehensive review of the arithmetic of fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals along with an introductory presentation of such algebraic topics as solving open sentences (equations and inequalities), graphing open sentences, and solving word problems.
