Further Education Unit.

The Further Education Unit's directory of 1989 contained details of over 500 research projects. The Further Education Unit (FEU) was a research and development body funded by the Department of Education & Science. Its brief was to assess and identify improvements in vocational education curriculum delivery in further and higher education colleges. It operated between 1977 and 1995 and during that period its specialist Development Officers (who had been seconded from the F&HE sector) researched and prepared reports that included recommendations on improvements and refinements to F&HE curriculum delivery and staff development.
