Wendy R. Childs, Taylor, John

The Anonimalle Chronicle is the most famous chronicle to emerge from the north of England. The chronicle contains the best description of a medieval parliament as well as a detailed description of the Peasants' Revolt of 1381. St. Mary's Abbey, where the chronicle was written, was considered to be the premier center of chronicle writing in Yorkshire. The Anonimalle Chronicle, written in French in the fourteenth century, is now part of the Brotherton Collection, University of Leeds.
