This work gives an overview of the material remains of the Late Hallstatt and Le Tène cultures, both of which can be considered part of Celtic archaeology. This compilation of objects gives an overview of the most important finds, sites, and classes of artefacts in continental Europe. Also included are explanations of the concepts, techniques, and methods associated with the research of Celtic cultures. The international research team of 20 archaeologists, who have practical field experience from France to Hungary, from Italy to Britain, and 300 authors from over 20 countries, have contributed articles with the widest possible regional and thematic scope.
