Since the introduction in 1943 of the first volume, the Singspiration series of "Favorites" has become the standard of the gospel song world. The many comments and letters received through the years testify to the fact that the lover of gospel music has found each volume to be a rich source of inspiration and blessing. In Favorites Five will be found additional treasures in song. Many of them you have been looking for; others I know will become your favorites as they have mine. In recent years, I feel sure, no songs have received as wide acclaim and acceptance as those written by my associate, John W. Peterson.
