Tom Connolly

Tom Connolly worked up to the highest ranks of the Garda Siochana in a career that spanned four decades. Starting in a small rural town in 1955, he got to know all the characters, petty thieves and concerned citizens. He became a local dective, and was then promoted to the national detective division, becoming central to cases that made the headlines in Ireland in Ireland and abroad. In this memoir he gives a personal insight into the sometimes humourous, sometimes dangerous and at other times revealing, career of an Irish policeman.
