New Zealand seaweeds

Each species entry includes information on key characteristics, habitat, distribution, nomenclature, type locality and morphology. To aid identification over 500 illustrations from microscopic photographs to reproductions of botanical paintings are included. Information is also provided on the coastal environment, macroalgal ecology and the uses and widespread commercial applications of these plants.
