Includes cabinet cards, cartes-de-visite, albums, postcards and other forms of photography, representing Mexican, European, and North American photographers, and providing a chronicle of Mexico from approximately 1857 to 1923. Additional material includes a history and chronology section, a maps section, resources, and a glossary. An animated introduction gives a sampling of the events and lives documented by the photographs.
