French translation of "Moon rising". During one summer in the 1880s, Bram Stoker, author of Dracula, is swept up in a sultry romance with a young girl in the British seaside town of Whitby. Stoker is married, and the girl, Damaris, is 20 years his junior. Their affair, is all-consuming, unbelievably erotic, and, of course, fated to end badly. It is in Whitby that Stoker begins to lay the groundwork for what will become Dracula.
