This text reflects on how the relationship between art and armed conflict has changed and how the artistic gaze of the victims themselves or of consecrated artists is inspired by an empathetic commitment to those who lived the horrors of the armed conflict and a resistance to oblivion and impunity. This is the first title of the new collection of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the Universidad de los Andes, that seeks to contribute to the public discussion on art, armed conflict and peace in Colombia, based on complex perspectives that integrate approaches from all areas of knowledge.
