The Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Tecnologias Indígenas (Center for Studies and Research in Indigenous Technologies), Tecnoíndia was created in 2007, from the dialogue between architecture and anthropology, continuing the research of the same name previously contracted by Funasa (Ministry of Health). Today, it has twelve years of uninterrupted activities dedicated to the indigenous peoples of Mato Grosso, especially in the study of their dwellings. The Núcleo Tecnoíndia is institutionally linked to the Department of Architecture and Urbanism of the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT) based, on the campus of Cuiabá, a module (prototype) of the research project Tecnoíndia.
