This book intends to raise the debate on how the defense and imagination of life has been woven historically, sociologically and legally in a paradoxical territory such as Buenaventura. Thus, the contributions of nine male and female researchers with diverse experiences in this territory and from different academic disciplines, social backgrounds and professional fields are brought together. The authors explore, from different theoretical-methodological strategies and thematic perspectives, the current configurations of both the social orders of violence and the grammars of life articulated by the community to resist and re-exist in Budnaventura.
