The exhibition does not only contain the best of two collections joining forces, it also tells the story from two sides. First of all the art historical. What makes a painting special? What moved the painter to create it and who or what influcenced him or her? Besides that we tell the maritime story. What do you see and why is this important? Masterpieces made by Claude Monet, Paul Signac, Jeroen Bosch, Hendrik Avercamp and Jozef Israƫls meet each other in a unique presentation and are joined by modern art by Guido van de Werve, Sasja Hagens and Dolf Henkes.
