Cleverly mentioned by Jacques Thirion in his book Alpes Romanes published forty years ago, and re-examined since during monographic studies or on the occasion of the congress of the French Archaeological Society in 2010, medieval religious heritage deserved that the we go further, by putting a new look on him. For this publication, it was not easy to determine the buildings that were to be mentioned. Each building, each ruin had its meaning and its history. Choices were made, however: some buildings were essential, others were chosen for the strong medieval imprint that they could still bear.
