The art of printmaking has been developing steadily in Luxembourg since the end of the Second World War and is now recognized as an independent genre: Numerous artists deal with a wide variety of printing techniques, from letterpress, such as wood and linocut, to etching ( Copperplate engraving, drypoint, mezzotint, aquatint, soft ground etching, etc.), lithography and manual screen printing to the more experimental processes of today's printmaking.
