Max van Aerschot
From 2008 to 2018, Max van Aerschot held the position of city architect. In the ten years of his appointment, he has put forward countless ideas, made plans, developed visions, contributed to discussions and debate, provided information, organized expert meetings, set up workshops and, as befits an independent advisor, made a solicited and unsolicited contribution to policy developments and administrative implementation. This publication looks back on this on the basis of thirteen interviews with people with whom Van Aerschot has collaborated: politicians, administrators, project developers, historians and architects.
