Muovendo da Schelling e Cassirer giunge alle posizioni di Creuzer, Jung e Hillman. Il mito viene visto così come rappresentazione dell{u2019}anima e la filosofia offre la sua importante funzione mediatrice tra la ricca eredità simbolica del passato e il tumultuoso mondo interiore che ancora oggi tutti ci muove. -- Is myth merely a fairy-tale whimsy with no meaning? The author examines this question using Sirens as a paradigmatic case, moving from Schelling and Cassirer to arrive at the positions of Creuzer, Jung and Hillman. Myth is thus viewed as a representation of the soul, and philosophy offers its important mediating function between the rich symbolic legacy of the past and the tumultuous interior world that still moves all of us today. --
