These articles focus mainly on 1875-1906, a period in which two significant events occurred: the translation of Darwin and the dissemination of evolutionary theory, and the awarding of the Nobel Prize to the great Spanish scientist Santiago Ramón y Cajal (1852-1934). This book takes a multidisciplinary and comparative approach, considering the cultural specificity of Spain and its European framework from the perspectives of linguistics, history, anthropology, and literature.
