A Bee in the Rain tells the adventures of Álvaro Rodrigues Silvestre and his wife. The action takes place in the village of Montouro on a rainy autumn, and focuses on the characters that inhabit it and surround this couple, through whom we get to know the Portugal provincial mid-twentieth century. This remarkable book, which marks the Portuguese literature and would give the namesake film by Fernando Lopes, is recommended by the National Reading Plan for independent reading in secondary education.
