This book is a seminal review of what was, in early stages of electrical geophysics, referred to "over-voltage" phenomenon and later more commonly referred to as the "induced polarization" effect. It takes a detailed look at the electromagnetic physics of a volume loading of conductive particles with a complex/time-dependent impedance at their surface.
