It was published by the then-named U.S. Army Signal Corps. It covers telegraph and wireless communications and gives a brief but accurate survey of the basic facts and principles of electromagnetism, with special stress on its application to practical radio communications. In the effort to present these topics in a simple manner, very little mathematical knowledge is assumed on the part of the reader, and the familiar definitions, illustrations and analogies given will be a great help to beginners.
