I am always with you
Young aspiring writer Maria Scholz arrives in Berlin in 1933, and meets sculptor Hermann Blumenthal. They become key members of a community of artists ; part of an inner circle passively opposed to the Nazi regime, who were persecuted or declared 'degenerate'. In the growing terror of the police state, tragedy befalls Maria as the war brings about the firebombing of Berlin and the Russian invasion.
