**J (Jesus) Emilio Duque Echeverri** also known under his pseudonym J.Michelin was born in Granada, Antioquia, Colombia in 1929 and died in Warsaw, Poland in 1983, victim of pancreatic cancer. Mr Duque was a lawyer,journalist,politician and diplomat. He was a professor of law and journalism at the Universidad de Antioquia and Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. He co-founded the Universidad Autonoma in the city of Medellin. He was always an advocate for women's rights and women as such. A female friendly intellectual in every sense of the word. Lamparilla is first of all a tribute to women. A collection of short stories published in various newspapers of the city of Medellin, including El Correo and El Diario.
