Italian art at the close of the Quattrocento
Presents the catalog of an exhibition of 8 works of Italian Renaissance art attributed to Pollaiuolo. The exhibition was intended to commemorate the deaths in 1492 of Piero della Francesca and Lorenzo de' Medici. All but one of these works is on loan from other institutions and all are illustrated in black and white. The remainder of the catalog deals with Italian paintings and sculptures in the Frick Collection from the age of Piero, of which 2 are represented by black and white illustrations.
