The data consist of information from a broad variety of organizations in Ohio. Information was obtained from knowledgeable informants or organization records. Variables deal with the basic factual information of the organization and the bases, complexity, formalization, and centralization of authority within the organization. Additionally, measures of routinization of roles and the structure of the administrative hierarchy were obtained.
