Now, what could possibly persuade a Texas cowhand to quit the range and head into the swamps and bayous of Louisiana? Well, for Dennis King, it was an irate husband! Leaving town in a cloud of dust, Dennis soon finds himself deep in the strange world of the swamps, and his life will never be the same! Bayou Girl follows the adventures of this wayward cowboy as he searches for the mysterious Bayou Girl herself, although she is as elusive as a swamp ghost, and no one can get next to her. Along the way he encounters pirates, an eerie haunted mansion and the legendary huge monster that stalks the swamps. His adventures take him from the Louisiana bayous out onto the high seas in a bid to rescue the Bayou Girl from the clutches of the pirates and then to the dark, strange and forbidding jungles of Yucatan, Mexico. Still on the trail, he has to fight off savages, jaguars and the jungle...
